Samara Beach, Costa Rica

This is night three on a beautiful beach. We decided to come here because we were told of how nice it was, and that there are less tourists than another beach we considered (Tamarindo beach). We have taken walks every morning and every evening on the beach. It has been wonderful. We are also staying in the nicest hotel we have stayed at so far. We got a deal of 30$ per night. We  even have a fridge so we have been able to store milk, juice, meat and cheese. We went down to the beach (which is like a 20second walk from our room) this afternoon, Joshua enjoyed catching some waves, and I got some sun. Then we came back, chatted and ate sandwiches and fruit (We bought a lot of fruit today, like 15 bananas, a watermelon, and a bag of oranges. The bananas are soo good, and taste better than the states). Oh the beach life--something we have not quite experienced yet together, and its nice!

In other news Joshua is officially on his fourth pair of sunglasses. The other ones have gotten lost or broken. Additionally the place we are staying has a tin roof. Occasionally we will here a loud thoud followed by some other scraping noises. At first we thought it was cocounuts falling, and then from a shorter roof below we saw iguanas (practically the size of our cat) jumping and scurring around the roof. Kinda  of creepy if you ask me. In fact there is one crawling on or roof now..

Speaking of coconuts falling, one fell on my head yesterday!! I did neuro assessments on myself about every hour, and kept checking my pupils lol, and I am totally fine! Shew : ) Learned my lesson there..dont sit at picnic tables while talking to your best friend if it is underneath a palm tree with coconuts.

These pictures just dont do it justice..

These are views from the beach in front of our hotel. The picture with the palm trees is a picture of our hotel from the beach : )
