rewind to samara beach and leaving samara beach

Back to Samara beach...one night we decided we were hungry. Its is about a 20 minute walk to the store (there and back) from the place we were staying (Bahia Cabinas). It was sprinking a bit, but we didnt mind. We were walking on the beach, so peaceful in the quiet sprinkle, and the skys black. By the time we made it to the mini mercado it started raining more, and while figuring out what we wanted , it was literally in torrents. Very unsual weather the clerk told us. The roads were ovefilling with water, but we decided we would wait 5 minutes at the store to see if it let up at all. Meanwhile a guy pulled up in a old red car, told us he was a taxi, and asked if we needed a ride. He at first said 3 or 4 dollars, but then dropped it down to 2 quickly ( with some negotiation). We got in. The windows were very foggy, and it was very humid in the car. The first thing he asked us was if there was a car behind him. Joshua said "ummm no i dont think so, but let me look". he reached back to the rear window wiped it off and said "nope". We had a uneventful ride back, and were so thankful he offered for the ride, because it did not stop torrenting rain for some time! It turned into such a fun, pleasant outing.
